Glaetzer Anaperenna 2006
|Region||Australia, South Australia, Barossa Valley|
A blend of 75% Shiraz and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, this is the rechristened Godolphin, renamed because of a trademark conflict. Mint and tobacco notes frame the lush chocolaty layers of dark fruit-mainly cassis. Long and wonderfully supple on the finish. Drink now-2020.
Brash and youthful, with the juicy currant and cedar flavors of Cabernet whistling through the blackberry and exotic spice of the Shiraz, lending this an upright stance, with lively acidity and firm tannins. Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2009 through 2016.
