Paul Hobbs
Inky black garnet color carries enticing aromas of red currant and tobacco leaf to introduce a weighty, complex, seamlessly integrated wine. The deeply textured palate displays a rich interplay of blackberry, cassis, graphite and mocha, with notes of cedar, espresso, lavender and smoke adding intrigue through the mid-palate. Big, ripe, fine-grained tannins grace a lengthy finish.

This has wonderful purity of fruit. Rich, ripe, intense and elegant, with layers of spicy currant, wild berry, black cherry, anise and hazelnut shadings. Gains depth and length on the finish, which sails on. Drink now through 2013. 763 cases made.

From a grand cru site in Oakville, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard is a sensational effort. A Pauillac from Napa, it reveals classic aromas of high quality unsmoked cigar tobacco intermixed with graphite, creme de cassis, licorice, and spice. Fabulously rich and complex, with stunning concentration, a terrific mouthfeel, and amazing opulence as well as length, this brilliant Cabernet Sauvignon should provide pleasure for 25-30 years.

Biodynamic designation is regulated by Demeter, an international certification organization. Biodynamic agriculture is based on the view of a farm as a self-contained organism. Certified organic vineyards must meet Demeter"s additional criteria for a period of one year before earning the designation "biodynamic."
Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
