Grown on various types of slate in the top vineyard site of the Ürziger Würzgarten, the wine displays spicy peach elements, with beautiful elegance in the fruity attack and rich minerality on the palate; packed full of flavor yet light and refreshing. A picture-book Riesling. Great to enjoy on its own, with light dishes such as salads and with lightly spicy dishes or fusion cuisine.
Wine Spectator
Bright, with a floral aroma leading off, supported by apricot, apple, pear and a hint of lime. There's more fruit than mineral at this stage, with a delicate finish. Drink now through 2018.

Eymael’s 2008 Urziger Wurzgarten Riesling Kabinett pits apple pip bitterness and fresh lemon against a certain amount of superficial sweetness but boasts an admirable, vintage-typical sense of delicacy and lift. As it opens to the air, more site-typical suggestions of strawberry emerge. It should serve well for at least 6-8 years.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
